Our Romantic Vacation, or; Do you want some chocolate milk?

We're back! It's taken us a couple of days to get back into the swing of things, but here we are! Yesterday was Madeline's birthday. The night before, we went to see Annie Hall at this tiny movie theatre that plays old movies--it was so fun. yesterday, as maddie mentioned, we had class all day and into the night, then went out for a mexican fiesta in a practically empty restaurant with some of our friends. it was a good time. i can't believe my little baby has grown up so fast--i truly appreciate her as a friend, a roommate/bedmate, psychiatrist, patient, travel buddy and flameco dancer.

Ooookaaayy, so.... there is just too much to share on our trip. so here are just a few of the hundreds of photos i took, and a few tid bits of what we did.

ROMA
The collosium was so gorgeous! The forum and ruins were also nearby, and we had a great time looking at them in amazement.
At a restaurant in rome, aparently "can we have some bruchetta?" gets you an invitation to stand by the brick oven and see how its made.
We saw the Mouth of truth on our roman holiday (grooaannn at my pun).
VENICE
Wild Elvis' house. it was this warm cabin-esque home on the island of vignola, 15 minutes from venice by boat, and approximately 14 hours by swim. maddie and i raced... i don't know who won. it was just toooo close to call. Here is a video of the chickens in the morning!
Click here for a video of us boating through venice and into the grand canal.
On the boat at night

A delivery boat! they have to get the supplies around somehow.

BARCELONA
At Park Guell, we saw amazing works of Gaudi.

The sagrada familia. it still isn't finished, which is why it's sideways. It was dripping with symbolism and beauty on every inch.

MADRID
we were soooo exhausted from traveling at this point. we didn't have much time in madrid, so we took a bus tour and saw the sites.
These amazing structures the egyptians gave to spain thousands of years ago.

This is a vague glimpse at our trip. We are moret than happy to share more pics and stories with you all, but now, its time to make dinner and do homework, so i gotta cut this short.

before i go.... random video footage from vacay:
Fuzzy toothbrush purchased at an italian airport
Quick answer drill with maddie in a park outside an architecutre exhibit.
Wiggly soap
