Round yond virgin, mother and chiiildd

...at least, i think that's how the song goes. any way... we did lots today! it started with the luxembourg gardens. it was all flowered-out, despite the chilliness, and quite beautiful. there was an old man and this little boy playing with a sailboat and a stick in the fountain. how cute. my mom saw lots of fountains today, because i am writing a research project on them, and needed to take pics. ohhhhh.... and they are historic/ pretty/etcetera.

Next, we promenaded over to the church saint sulpice. mary just said it seems so long ago since we went there... we did lots. it was huge and beatuiful, with muted-grayish paintings, and a line on the ground that the sun shines on so you know when easter is. its a good idea. personally, i always relied on when a fruitful basket of candies and olsen twin movies appeared in the dining room, but the sun works too. took pics of a fountain.

we got some omelettes, then we went to saint michel and took pics of this other cool fountain and walked around the latin quarter, and got crepes. the chick was learning how to make them... my mom said "good thing you didn't film her for the blog." ouch....

then we went to notre dame. there were more people than gargoyles, if you can believe it.

we went to saint chappelle church after that. BEAutiful. its two floors, patterned ceilings, gold accents, and intricate colorful stained glass that told the story of the bible, from the beginning to the apocolypse..... i was scared at some parts, like when jesus got hurt and the animals had to deal with the flood and the apocolypse... but at least it was pretty.

next we saw hotel de ville, the pompidou, and i tried to show her my school but the doors were locked.... hopefully they will be on monday as well. we saw several other fountains, like chatelet, stravinsky, and fountain des innocent, and walked through a park.

ohhh maaan, twas a long day, so we could sure use of glass of wine. oh wait! good thing we went to a wine expo. it was...intense. we pretended to know things, like smell it and swirl it around. we drank red ones and white ones and pink ones, oh my!

then it was nachos, and a movie about a french guy who goes to the US to meet real americans. so perfect the night.

here's some pics:

At the Jardins du Luxembourg today.

We saw some people doin tai chi.
i lost my mom and got scared. this woman wasn't very comforting.

Coming soon to a theatre near you... well, actually i don't know if it is. but if so, it's worth a watch.
